Gr. 9 Learning Strategies
Group #3
How Should I Organize My Binders, My Pencil Case, and My Computer?

Group #1
Group #2
The teacher will be creating three groups. Each group will be assigned a video to watch. As you watch this video one member will be asked to jot down notes about the content of the video, another member will be asked to jot down questions about the content of the video, and the final member will be asked to jot down personal connections between the content and their experiences with organization. Once you have finished watching the video, you will be given a piece of chart paper. Your group will be asked to outline
1. The process of organization discussed in the video (How To)
2. Potential disadvantageous with this process
3. Rational of why it is important (using examples from your life)
Once you have completed the task, please be ready as a group to "teach the class" your organizational strategy.
Organization in Practice
We are now going to put the organizational strategies we have learned into practice. Around the room you will see three stations. Each station is dedicated to helping you organize your binders, computer, and pencil case. You will be rotating through each of these stations and conducting the activities indicated. Your teacher will be assissting as you as needed. Once you have completed each of the stations, before moving on to the next station, your teacher must "sign off" on your organizational progress.
Station #3 Computer File Organization

Station #2 Pencil Case Organization

Station #1 Binder Organization

After the three stations your teacher will then be engaging in whole class instruction to help you set up a few other digital tools that will be of use for you this year (OneNote, Symbaloo, Google Drive)
